The Chant Ranch
Attending a lesson or clinic at the Chant Ranch offers you a private setting in the Canterbury plains, with safe and purpose built facilities for your natural journey which is central and easy to get to.
Facilities include:
• Classroom with couches for comfortable theory sessions
• Easy parking for horse floats and trucks
• Overnight/day yards available
• Grass paddocks (not always available and may need to be shared)
• All weather round pen
• Varied sizes play paddocks and grass arenas, honeycomb, jumps and obstacles
• 500 furlong training track
• Wheel barrows and scoops to clean up your horses manure
• Meadow hay is available for sale whiles stocks last at the Chant Ranch - just ask!
Food or supplies nearby:
Lunch - You can make hot drinks in the Classroom - tea, coffee, milo, milk and sugar are available for you to use along with a kettle, microwave, fridge to keep your lunch fresh and water cooler. If you would prefer to buy your lunch, Hornby mall is just 6km drive away, with a large variety of eateries and a supermarket.
Horse feed - Warrens Equine is a large horse feed suppliers only a approx 4km from the Chant Ranch on Main South Road just past the Knitworks green barn on the left heading out of Christchurch. They are open Monday-Friday 8.30-6pm.
Accommodation:
Currently we do not have on site accommodation but we can recommend local B&B's or Motels that have reasonable rates - please feel free to ask us.

Directions to the Chant Ranch
Travelling from Main South Rd (State HWY 1) heading towards Christchurch, after going past Rolleston you will see a big green barn on your right (Knitworks), keep going and take the next right into Waterholes Road (just before the passing lane starts before Templeton). When Waterholes Road takes a sharp turn to the right - bear left into Hamptons Road. The Chant Ranch is on the right hand side and you will see the Parelli Professional sign at the gate.
Travelling on Christchurch Southern Motorway - Turn left when you get to the Halswell Junction Road Roundabout onto Springs Road. Take the fourth road on the right which is Hamptons Road. Cross over Shands Road and the Chant Ranch is number 351 on your left. Look for the Parelli Professional sign at the gate.
Travelling from Main North Road (State HWY 1) turn right onto Johns Road (Z service station is on that corner) and follow the signs towards the airport. Keep going straight through all roundabouts and lights. You'll get to Hornby (Hornby Hub Mall will be on your right as you stop at the lights crossing over Main South Road onto where Shands Road begins. Keep going straight, through a set of lights, and the Halswell Junction Road roundabout and then Hamptons Road is the fourth road on your right. Turn right and you will see the Chant Ranch on your left approx 351 meters from that corner. Look for the Parelli Professional sign at the gate.
