Terms & Conditions for Course Participants

Horses

Un-started (unbroken) horses and stallions may not participate in a course.  If you want to bring a young horse the minimum age is 4 years unless approved by Jackie prior to the course in the case of Young horse training courses.  Please contact Jackie directly on [email protected] with details of the horse, to request participation.  You are responsible for your horse at all times.

Worming & general health

Horses must have been wormed within 3 weeks of the course, and be in good health on arrival at the venue.  Jackie or the Area Coordinator/Host reserve the right to turn away horses considered not to be in good health and which may be a hazard to others.  If your horse is unwell please do not bring it to the course.

Young Riders

Applicants under the age of 16 will be accepted into courses by approval only and must be accompanied by a parent/responsible adult at all times.

Wearing a helmet

A New Zealand/Australian/UK standard approved helmet must be worn whilst riding during the duration of the course and while at the course venue.  Appropriate heeled shoes or boots must also be worn.  Please ensure all equipment is of a good safe standard. If it is not approved, Jackie may ask you to use approved equipment for safety and insurance reasons.

Payment

A 25% deposit secures your place on the course.  The balance of the course fees should be paid in full 14 days prior to the course date and if payment is not received by date due, the full course fee applies in all cases.  The Area Coordinator/Host and/or Jackie reserve the right to offer the place to another rider should full payment not be made on time.

Transfer

Your ticket to a course may be transferrable to anotgher rider or auditor by your own arrangement, subject to Jackie or Area Coordinator/Hosts approval.

Cancellation

All deposits (25% of full payment) are non-refundable.Then, up to four weeks before the course - 75% refund
Up to one week before - 50% refund
Less than one week - no refund.

If you are unable to attend a course due to illness or horse injury you will be entitled to transfer to another course at a later date, otherwise refer to the cancellation policy.

In the event that the course is cancelled by the Area Coordinator/Host or Jackie, a full refund will be given.

Personal Photos

Photo's are meant to be for your personal use only, not for commercial purposes or public viewing.  You are not authorized to publish or display any photos taken of Jackie, the staff or anyone else at the course without permission from Jackie and the person (or people) in the photo.  Please no video cameras unless you have approval from Jackie.  Please let Jackie know if you do not wish to have any photos of yourself used for promotion on her social media FB page.

By submitting your application form either electronically or by email or post, you have acknowledged and agreed to the above terms and conditions.  Please note that you will be asked to fill in and sign a Liability release form before the course commences, this can be downloaded from the 'Book a Course' tab beside the course you wish to attend and brought with you to the clinic.
